Privacy Policy

RenewDesk (“we”, “the app”) helps motor insurance agents and PUC (pollution) testing centres in India keep track of when a customer’s vehicle document expires, and chase the renewal. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide when registering: business name, email address, and phone number.
- Customer & document records you enter to run your business: customer name, contact number, an optional separate WhatsApp number, vehicle registration number, vehicle class, date of registration, the policy or certificate number, start and expiry dates, the amount the customer paid, and your own remarks and follow-up notes. For insurance records this also includes the insurer, the cover type and the IDV.
- Usage records: credit transactions (records added, renewals, top-ups) and the activity history of each record.
- Device push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you notifications.
The app does not collect location of any kind — not your phone’s and not the vehicles’. It records the paperwork on a vehicle and when that paperwork expires, nothing about where the vehicle is.
The customer details you enter belong to your customers. You are responsible for having their permission to store them; we process that data on your behalf so that you can run your own renewal reminders.
How we use it
- To provide the service: storing your records, showing expiry alerts, and processing renewals.
- To send operational notifications (account approval, credits added, new signups for admins).
- To let you contact your customers — a reminder opens in WhatsApp with the message pre-filled, or the dialer opens with their number. In both cases you choose whether to send or call; the app never messages or calls anyone on its own.
Sharing & third parties
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) stores data and delivers notifications on our behalf.
- WhatsApp: when you tap “send reminder”, the message is handed to the WhatsApp app on your phone. We do not send messages automatically on your behalf, and we do not have access to your WhatsApp account.
- We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Data retention & deletion
Records are kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time — see our account deletion page. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and protected by access rules so each vendor can only see their own data.
Sign-in
Accounts are email and password only. We do not use Google Sign-In or any other social sign-in, so no third-party identity provider is told that you use this app.
Children
RenewDesk is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us.
